Cast iron is often used for the back panel of a fireplace, combined with a Victorian-style hearth and mantle. But smaller, bedroom-style fireplaces made entirely of cast iron are also popular. For a more unusual look, you can choose a cast iron back piece and hearth in an art deco or contemporary style.
